View of Morros and Edna Valley

View of Edna Valley vineyards and the Morros, the string of volcanic peaks called the Seven Sisters from the terrace of Casita Las Brisas.

Edna Valley is nestled between San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a few miles from Pacific Coast beaches, Highway 101 and 10 minutes from the San Luis Obispo County Airport (SBP.)

Although a small area, Edna Valley is a premier California wine-growing region with its own appellation, specializing in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah grapes. The unusual southeast-northwest valley orientation receives the benefits of marine breezes producing a form of natural air-conditioning. With these breezes and the excellent soil structure composed of sand, limestone, gravel and alluvial loam, Edna Valley vineyards have ideal conditions for producing premium wines. Casita Las Brisas sits on a ridge with spectacular vistas in all directions, surrounded by two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. From Casita Las Brisas you can bike to many well-known wineries.

Desirable Pacific Coast beaches are nearby: 5 miles to Pismo Beach, 10 miles to Avila Beach, and 20 miles to Montana de Oro and Morro Bay State Parks. Hearst Castle State Park at San Simeon lies 60 miles north on Hwy 1, near an elephant seal rookery.

A private spa has its own terrace and sweeping views of the Santa Lucia coastal mountain range. We are 10 miles from historic San Luis Obispo and 5 miles from equally historic Arroyo Grande. Be sure to visit area Farmer’s Markets for fresh produce.
